A Conversation with Stylist and Designer Rachel Zoe

By mollie — September 12, 2012

Have you ever felt so moved and inspired when you walked away from listening to someone speak that you were left speechless and with goosebumps? That’s exactly how I felt after listening to my style icon and role model, Rachel Zoe speak at Lucky FABB in New York City last week. Rachel’s humble and candid conversation with Lucky Magazine Editor in Chief Brandon Holley was an open dialogue filled with advice straight from Rachel. A few of my favorite quotes she shared that really stuck with me were…

“Always be a nice person, don’t ever step on anyone to get where you want to go.”

“Trust your instinct and what feels organic to who you are. You have to make things happen for yourself.”

“You need to fact check everything.”

“Everyday is surreal for me, never think you’re on top.”

Besides becoming more obsessed with her and her stunning style, I’m now wanting everything from her fall 2012 collection. Here are a few of my picks and things I have on my wish list for fall.

1. Rachel Zoe ‘Judi’ Ruffled Crepe Dress

2. Rachel Zoe ‘Marilyn’ One Shoulder Sequin Gown

3. Rachel Zoe ‘Hutton’ Flare Leg Leather Pants (Long)

4. Rachel Zoe ‘Trish’ Faux Fur Trim Peacoat

Rachel Zoe rocks, that is all.

Those leather flared pants are BA-NA-NAS. You were the best FABB friend a girl could ask for! Can't wait for our dinner date next week! xo, HPN
